The Board of Directors of the NCCB is very pleased to announce the inauguration of the North Coast Concert Band Scholarship.  The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize a deserving graduating high school student involved in his or her school’s music program and to encourage that student to continue the study and performance of music in his or her post-high school education.  To initiate this program, a committee of members of the NCCB has been formed.  This committee will provide local high schools with the necessary information for applications and the criteria for the scholarship.  The committee will review and determine the recipient of the scholarship each Spring beginning with the Spring of 2019.  The initial scholarship amount will be $500 which, when awarded, will be directed to the college of the recipient’s choice.  It is the further hope of the Board of Director’s to increase the amount of the scholarship in years to come
