Kustec Honored as Hall of Fame Music Educator
North Coast Concert Band Artistic Conductor John Kustec became the 40th inductee into the Ohio Band Directors Conference Hall of Fame at the University of Akron in December 2025. The Hall of Fame inducts one retired Ohio High School or Middle School band director each year in recognition of outstanding work in the field of instrumental music education.
Mr. Kustec taught for 36 years at St. Mary's Central Catholic High School and Perkins High School, both in Sandusky, retiring in 2015.
